Bill Hilliard has grown 4 companies and/or corporate divisions to market leading positions and profitability, and has developed and launched OEM products in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Europe and in the United States. He has been a senior executive at one hardware company and one software company during their IPO’s. Through Hilliard Equities / Sonn-Hill Consulting, Bill assists start-ups, technology spin-outs, and emerging growth companies with risk capital, fund raising, and management guidance. Bill’s most recent company, E-Color, Inc. was founded in 1993, and merged in 2002 with LightSurf Technologies, Inc., headed by Philippe Kahn (founder also of Borland International and Starfish Software). E-Color grew to profitability before securing over $33 million of external capital. Before E-Color, Bill launched a business unit for MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (MTSI) that marketed touch screens and pen digitizers to personal computer and display makers. As General Manager for OEM products/international sales, he led efforts that quadrupled revenues that were 13% of total company revenues in less than two years.
