Larry Lowry
Larry Lowry has over forty years of company leadership, general management, Board, advisory, investment, and early-stage venture experience. Mr. Lowry has served as the Chairman of DemandTec, Inc., the leading provider of consumer demand management SAAS software (NASDAQ:DMAN, acquired by IBM in 2011), the Executive Operating Chairman of Vertical Networks, Inc., the leading provider of communications platforms integrating voice, data and applications (Funded by Kleiner Perkins and Accel Partners, merged with Artisoft), and the President of Pay By Touch, Inc., the global leader of biometric authentication, personalized rewards, and payment solutions, and has invested in and served on the Boards of numerous companies. Mr. Lowry previously served in senior leadership roles with three pre- eminent professional services firms. Mr. Lowry served as a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Company. Mr. Lowry served as a Senior Global Managing Partner and a member of the Executive Committee and the Operating Council of Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc. (Now Booz & Co.). At Booz & Co, Mr. Lowry was the Global Managing Partner for the Firm’s Consumer Industries Practices and was responsible for all of the personnel and work serving consumer product and services, retailing and wholesaling, agribusiness, media and entertainment, and travel and leisure businesses worldwide. Earlier in his career at Booz & Co., Mr. Lowry led the Firm’s West-Coast Strategy, High Tech, Financial Services, and Consumer Practices, and served as the Managing Partner for the Firm’s San Francisco office. Mr. Lowry began his career at the Boston Consulting Group where he led major strategy engagements for clients in basic industrial, technology, financial services, medical equipment, forest products and consumer businesses and was a founding member of the Firm’s West Coast office complex. Mr. Lowry received his MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School. He received Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering and Operations Research with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Lowry and his wife Jeannie live in Atherton, CA. Mr. Lowry’s personal interests include family, flying (licensed pilot), sailing, travel, golf, and history.
